Mukesh Kainth, an insurance law specialist with Browne Jacobson, has been elected President of Tomorrow’s FOIL, the specialist organisation for junior defendant insurance lawyers.
Tomorrow’s FOIL was established by the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) in 2013 to encourage and enable lawyers with less than five years’ post qualification experience to engage with counterpart organisations in the insurance and loss adjusting sectors to develop career-long relationships and mutual understanding.
“During my year of office I want to promote the interests of junior lawyers and insurance handlers, facilitating and strengthening those relationships for the foreseeable future,” said Kainth (pictured), who takes over from Victoria Darby of Kennedys.
Kainth specialises in defending large loss personal injury claims, advising on claims with with foreign jurisdiction, dealing with fatal claims representing clients at inquests and in HSE prosecutions and advising on EL/PL claims.
FOIL chief executive, Laurence Besemer, said: “Tomorrow’s FOIL has proved to be a great success giving a voice to the younger members of the insurance legal profession, providing opportunities for dedicated training and development and encouraging the forging of professional relationships which will serve individuals and their firms well for many years to come.
“We’re delighted to see someone as committed as Mukesh in the driving seat in the coming year and thank him, retiring president Victoria and their Tomorrow’s FOIL committee colleagues for giving so freely of their spare time.”
