Simon Readhead QC to chair Claims Media clinical negligence conference

Simon Readhead QC will chair next year’s Claims Media clinical negligence conference.

Readhead, who was called to Bar in 1979 and made Queen’s Counsel in 2006, will chair The Clinical Negligence Debate #2 on 28 February 2018 in Manchester at the Midland Hotel.

Readhead has a wide ranging practice for both claimants and defendants in medico-legal law including all aspects of clinical liability, professional liability and indemnity claims involving clinical liability and personal injury, personal injury claims including industrial accidents and occupational diseases, health and safety claims and product liability. He has a special interest and expertise in catastrophic injury claims including birth trauma, other neurological injuries particularly involving the head and spine and high value and complex quantum claims.

He is recognised as a leading Queen’s Counsel in the current editions of both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories and he was shortlisted for Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Silk of the Year at the Legal 500 Awards 2017.

The conference will once again see some of the country’s top clinical negligence lawyers gather to discuss the pressing issues that affect their practices and business planning.

Topics that will be discussed at the conference include mediation, fixed costs and private healthcare claims.
