Consumer Intelligence hires Rajeev Aggarwal for advisory role

Financial services insight specialist Consumer Intelligence has appointed Rajeev Aggarwal to grow its insurance and banking advisory business as it looks to expand in 2018.

He joins Consumer Intelligence as managing director (advisory) from PwC Consulting, where he specialised in helping financial institutions transform their performance, from strategy through to implementation.

Aggarwal’s focus at Consumer Intelligence will on be growing the client base and recruiting staff as the advisory arm expands to service existing and new clients among UK and global insurance companies and banks.

The advisory business was launched in June last year in response to demand from clients for strategic business advice and support based on the consumer insights and benchmarking data that Consumer Intelligence already provides.

The company, which is chaired by former Deloitte partner and vice chairman Louis Jordan, currently operates in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, working with major UK insurers and price comparison websites as well as banks and foreign currency payment specialists.

Ian Hughes, chief executive of Consumer Intelligence, said: “Launching an advisory arm was a logical step as we transform the business and Rajeev’s global and UK experience advising senior executives ensures that we have the expertise to meet existing demand and continue the rapid growth.”

Aggarwal added: “Consumer Intelligence’s core capabilities in helping companies understand what customers want and need provides a strong platform for supporting clients and enabling them to outperform in an increasingly competitive environment with threats from new innovative entrants.”

He started his 17-year career with Booz & Company, where he worked with financial services clients across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, before moving to PwC Consulting in 2012 where he focused more on UK businesses.
