Potter Rees Dolan promotes five across clinical negligence and personal injury

Law firm Potter Rees Dolan has promoted five of its senior solicitors to partner.

Lesley Herbertson and Gill Edwards are experienced in clinical negligence matters, having obtained landmark decisions in a number of cases.

Herbertson, who was a partner at Alexander Harris before joining Irwin Mitchell, has been with Potter Rees Dolan since 2010.

Edwards, a former partner at Pannone, joined Potter Rees Dolan 18 months ago from Slater and Gordon.

Herbertson and Edwards handle high-value claims resulting from a range of injuries caused as a result of medical error, including brain and spinal injury, chronic pain, and amputation.

Fellow new partners Helen Shaw, Jeanne Evans and Gary Herbert are a part of the Potter Rees Dolan personal injury team.

Shaw is a personal injury specialist who has particular expertise in dealing with work-related and motorcycle accidents, while Evans is a supporter of multi-disciplinary rehabilitation.

With superlative skill in acting for children and young adults who have sustained brain injuries, Herbert’s own personal intervention has in several cases ensured that therapy and substantial compensation for these has not been missed even when earlier medical investigations were inconclusive.

Helen Dolan, partner and head of the clinical negligence department at Potter Rees Dolan, said: “We are delighted to reward the commitment and excellence of our talented team; Potter Rees Dolan goes from strength to strength, with its client focused approach at the heart of all it does.”
