Markel International has appointed Alia Bamrah, Keifer Edmonds, and Tony Halling as senior claims adjusters.
The trio will add further experience and technical expertise to the wholesale claims team and will be based at Markel’s London office.
Before starting at Markel International, Bamrah was a complex claims adjuster at AIG, focusing on professional negligence and cyber claims within the insurer’s financial lines department.
In her new role, Bamrah will work across professional indemnity claims, reporting to Jonathan Pestell, claims manager for professional indemnity at Markel International.
Edmonds joins from Faraday Underwriting, and will report into Dan Lofty, claims manager for reinsurance at Markel International.
He has more than 12 years of experience within claims, and has held the role of claims adjuster at several insurance firms, including RenaissanceRE, Amlin UK, and QBE Europe.
Previously, Halling was employed at Reynolds Coleman Bradley, starting as a paralegal before progressing to the role of senior associate at the law firm.
Halling will now work under Tom Fassnidge, claims manager for management liability at Markel International, to resolve high-level cyber and management liability claims.
Commenting on the new joiners, Chris O’ Shea, claims director for wholesale at Markel International, said: “We are pleased to welcome Alia, Keifer, and Tony to our wholesale claims team. We are very pleased to attract claims handlers of this calibre, and we’ve brought them in because of their commitment to claims excellence.”
He added: “This commitment aligns with Markel’s objectives to continue expanding our claims expertise, so that we can continue to serve customers efficiently, always challenging ourselves to be the best in the market.”
