Davies has appointed Jen Morrissey to the newly created position of group chief operations officer.
A seasoned senior executive officer, Morrissey has more than 20 years of experience leading global strategic information technology and operations in the risk management and professional services sectors.
She has been instrumental in leading companies through periods of expansion, bringing experience in mergers and acquisitions integration, IT transformation, and global shared services.
Morrissey has joined Davies from Unison Risk Advisors, where she was chief information officer. She has also worked at Willis Towers Watson and Electronic Data Systems.
As group chief operations officer, Morrissey, who is based in the US, will report directly to group chief executive officer Dan Saulter.
She will lead the Davies global technology, transformation, M&A integration, procurement, and real estate functions, and join the group executive committee.
In February, following a sustained period of organic and M&A growth, Davies announced a new simplified organisational structure, that aligned its global operations across the global solutions, UK and Ireland, and US business units.
Davies said the three core units enable Davies to continue its focus to drive additional value for its 1,500+ insurance, financial services, and other regulated clients.
Commenting on her appointment, Morrissey said: “This is a very exciting time to join Davies, and I’m looking forward to working alongside Dan and the wider team in our next phase of growth, continued transformation and positive disruption.
“It has never been more crucial for a business to remain agile to help clients face the external challenges that our industry is currently undergoing.”
Saulter added: “I am delighted to welcome Jen to Davies. Her extensive experience as an executive leader and her in-depth knowledge of the industry will undoubtedly be a fantastic asset to the successful growth of the business.
“As we embark on our next phase of international growth and investment, it is important that we position our business units and leadership so we can best serve our 1,500+ clients across the globe.”
