Law firm HF has appointed an experienced litigator as its chief operating officer.
Partner Michael Rimmer, who has a wealth of counter fraud insurance litigation, will be responsible for overseeing operations across the entire insurance and commercial law firm.
His initial focus will be on operational efficiency, best practice and outstanding service delivery through best use of technology, innovation, data and process re-engineering.
Rimmer joined HF in 2008 and was made a partner in 2017.
In 2019, he became legal operations director at HF and added oversight of several of the firm’s other operational teams.
In his new role, Rimmer will also have responsibility for operational risk management, quality, overseeing HF’s property portfolio, new systems integration, and the onboarding of new lines of work, new teams and lateral hires.
Rimmer (pictured) said: “I’m very excited to take on the role of chief operating officer at HF, particularly at a time of such change and growth.
“We have great people delivering an excellent service to our clients and as chief operating officer I will be in a position to make sure we maximise all the technology and innovation available as well as ensure we look after our own people and remain a sustainable, successful business.”
Ronan McCann, chief executive officer and managing partner at HF, said: “Michael’s appointment as chief operating officer comes at an exciting time for HF and the breadth and depth of his skills put him in an exceptional position to add value to the firm.
“As our growth plans continue, I’m thrilled to have a new chief operating officer who not only has the skills needed but who, in line with our focus on promoting internal talent, has progressed rapidly to his new role.”
