Law firm Kennedys has welcomed Lorien Helm, a highly experienced catastrophic injury lawyer, to its team. With more than two decades of expertise, Helm specialises in handling cases involving fatalities or serious injuries, including paralysis, amputation, brain damage, chronic pain, and psychiatric injury.
Before her tenure at Kennedys in Manchester, Lorien Helm worked at Plexus Law, where she held the position of partner since 2014. During her time there, she managed complex, high-value cases and handled indemnity and liability disputes for major corporates and insurers.
Kennedys’ Manchester office is located in the city centre at Trinity on John Dalton Street, a move made in 2021 to accommodate the firm’s expanding team.
Ian Davies, a partner at Kennedys, praised Lorien’s appointment, “Lorien is well-known in the sector as an outstanding lawyer and a tough litigator who goes the extra mile for her clients – the ethos on which Kennedys is built.”
“I know the vast knowledge and experience she brings will really benefit our motor clients in Manchester and beyond as demand for our services continues to grow.”
Lorien expresses her excitement about joining Kennedys, “The talented team at Kennedys has long been regarded as a market leader and I am excited to channel my passion and commitment to excellence to cement that reputation still further.”
Claire Mulligan, head of Kennedys’ liability defence arm in the UK, acknowledges their growth strategy and the addition of Lorien in Manchester as part of the plan to work with top-tier legal teams. Kennedys recently reported a record revenue of £313 million for the 2022/23 fiscal year, marking an 11% increase from the previous year.
