Kova Professions set to launch to underwrite professional indemnity

Kova Professions is a set-to-launch MGA, established to underwrite professional indemnity (PI). It aims to charter a new course in the sector with a fresh approach and a commitment to raising standards.

Led by CEO Kate Albert, an industry expert with over twenty years of PI expertise, Kova will offer UK professional indemnity insurance solutions tailored to mid-market SME businesses across all sectors.

Kova will aim to leverage technology and underwriting experience to ensure the implementation of risk management practices. Setting itself apart with innovative coverage options, personalised risk assessments, and responsive claims handling, Kova’s solutions and services are designed for a client-centric approach.

Kate Albert commented:

“The drive behind establishing Kova was to deliver an improved service to brokers. There has been a mounting level of frustration in the market at poor outcomes and unwillingness to actively underwrite in the PI space. Our small, experienced team is empowered to help to address that by making decisions efficiently and without hassle.

“We care about outcomes for our brokers and clients and have seen first-hand the pain points that they experience. Our aim is to remove the frustration surrounding the PI buying process by providing an accessible, streamlined process from start to finish. With our 5-year, A-rated capacity arrangement, we will provide the stability and peace of mind currently lacking in the market.

“Kova provides a no-fuss approach – our professional indemnity product is designed for simplicity and ease and is expertly tailored to buyers’ needs.  We are compliance-driven and committed to doing the right thing, especially when it comes to paying valid claims promptly. While our current focus is on mid-sized companies, we will move up to larger businesses as we grow and expand into international markets.”

Kova Professions will open its doors for business with the support of Mission Underwriters, underpinned by a long-term capacity arrangement with a panel of AM Best A-rated capacity providers.
