CILA expands global reach with ILASA partnership
The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) has taken a significant step towards international expansion. The institute signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Loss Adjusters Southern Africa (ILASA). This collaboration aims to establish a framework for mutual benefit among members in Southern Africa.
The MOU will facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and events between the two institutes. It also aligns with CILA’s commitment to increasing industry engagement and awareness. The partnership underscores CILA’s ambition to strengthen its relevance and impact in global markets.
John Bissell, CILA’s executive director, expressed optimism about the partnership. He said, “This MOU is a demonstration of the commitment we made in our recent manifesto to create global collaborations which help to build trust, expertise, and ethics. This recognises that our members operate in all countries and territories and often transcend international boundaries, particularly in major and complex claims arenas. We look forward to working with the ILASA to exchange views and co-operation on matters of common interest and to be able to serve our members locally.”
Strengthening the profession
CILA is a globally recognised professional body for claims professionals. Established in 1961, the institute has upheld the standards and trustworthiness of the profession for decades. The MOU with ILASA is expected to reinforce these values in Southern Africa.
ILASA, founded in 1960, shares a similar mission. It works to maintain the reputation of loss adjusters in Southern Africa. The institute ensures high standards and collaborates with other industry players for technical and professional development.
Both institutes are focused on elevating the profession through collaboration. The partnership will pave the way for future agreements and initiatives. By expanding its reach into Southern Africa, CILA is positioning itself as a leader in the global claims industry.
