Minster Law has appointed Richard Allen as a new Senior Manager in its Complex Claims department.
Allen, who joins from Masters Legal Costs Services, will be based at the firm’s London office and will have responsibility for legal costs across the practice. His role will focus on the future challenges in dealing with costs and case management, costs budgeting, and the successful recovery of costs. He has more than 30 years’ experience practicing law as both a fee earner and a costs lawyer. He is also a non-executive director of the Costs Lawyer Standards Board.
Allen has also been a partner in Liddell and Company solicitors, where he managed their costs department, as well as conducting fast track and multi-track personal injury cases for major insurance clients.
“I am impressed with the business’s strategy to become a market leading multi-track and catastrophic personal injury firm,” said Allen.
Stuart Ramsey, Managing Director of Minster Law, said that Alledn was joining that firm at an important time “as the interpretation and application of the cost budgeting rules develop”.
“Richard’s valuable skills and extensive litigation experience will ensure we have the right balance between robust cost recovery and smooth and efficient processes,” he said.
