QuestGates launches agricultural claims service following hire

Specialist loss adjuster QuestGates has launched a new service for agricultural claims following the appointment of Frank McGaffney to its team.

McGaffney has joined QuestGates from Agrical Loss Adjusters, which is part of McLarens UK.

He has 25 years of adjusting experience, the previous 10 of which he has spent as a specialist agricultural adjuster. This includes experience of handling large and complex losses across high net worth, agricultural property, livestock, agricultural revenue, landed estates, forestry and growing timber, aquaculture, and agricultural liability.

Last year, QuestGates appointed two adjusters with extensive agricultural experience that have joined McGaffney’s new team with immediate effect.

QuestGates director Colin Ganson commented: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Frank’s calibre to launch this new service.”

“While it naturally complements our existing environmental team, agricultural claims can be incredibly complex. This is a niche area and the handling of claims requires an appropriately experienced adjuster who can deal with the frequent logistical challenges as well as be familiar with agricultural and forestry practice.”

“We believe the combination of Frank’s knowledge, our tech expertise and our commitment to putting our customers at the heart of everything we do will create a compelling new proposition.”

McGaffney added: “I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the culture of service that QuestGates has built—no doubt the secret to its success. I’m really excited to be joining the team and developing a new service that will hopefully mirror the excellence of its existing divisions.”

QuestGates predominantly provides technical loss adjusting services in liability, property, motor, environmental, subsidence and counter fraud.

The company operates from a national network of 14 offices across the UK, and is headquartered in Birmingham.
