Claims management company Sedgwick has hired Jon Mainwaring as client director for its home emergency division in the UK.
Mainwaring will focus on growing Sedgwick’s UK home emergency business and overseeing key accounts. He will work closely with the UKA247 team following the acquisition of the provider of home emergency repair fulfillment services earlier this month.
The acquisition advanced Sedgwick’s ability to offer claims estimation and complete repairs solutions without the need for duplicated efforts, the claims management company said, giving customers and their policyholders a one-source solution for home emergency through to property damage claims.
Mainwaring brings more than 25 years of insurance experience to Sedgwick, as well as significant expertise in managing key partner relationships, business development and strategic projects.
Nicola Dryden, chief client officer for the UK at Sedgwick, said: “Sedgwick’s home emergency offering is growing rapidly, and our recent acquisition of UKA247 will enable us to further improve the customer experience for property claims.”
“Jon brings to Sedgwick significant experience implementing new technologies and propositions to provide customers with rapid, expert care during urgent claim events.”
Mainwaring added: “Home emergency coverage makes a real difference to a customer and their family when a crisis occurs. I look forward to driving the growth of Sedgwick’s offering and the ways we can apply innovation and technology to taking care of people when they need us most.”
