Blink Parametric and Gigasure launch real-time app-based travel assistance bundle

Blink Parametric has partnered with Gigasure to introduce a new app-based travel assistance package. 

The collaboration is set to shake up the travel insurance industry by improving the convenience and coverage options available to travellers.  

Gigasure, a recently launched travel insurance provider, brags that it “puts customers at the heart of insurance”. Through its app, users will have access to Blink Parametric’s Flight Disruption and Lost Luggage solutions. 

Will real-time app-based travel assistance become the new norm for travel insurance?

The Flight Delay benefit activates automatically when a registered flight is delayed by three hours or more, giving policyholders the option to access anexecutive airport lounge, or receive a real-time cash payout.  

Additionally, the Blink Lost Luggage solution provides a one-time payment to cover immediate expenses when luggage delays occur, offering support while the luggage is being located. 

This new product will be the first time that Blink Parametric‘s real-time travel assistance products will be accessible via a mobile app, streamlining access to essential benefits for policyholders.

Underwritten for stability

The policies offered through the Gigasure app are underwritten by SiriusPoint (NYSE: SPNT), a global insurer and reinsurer renowned for its financial stability, with ratings of A- from AM Best, S&P, and Fitch, and A3 from Moody’s. Claims and assistance services will be managed by IMG, a subsidiary of SiriusPoint and a global leader in insurance and assistance services.
